8 killed in Rajbari, Khulna road accidents

At least eight people were killed and 8 others injured in separate road accidents in Rajbari and Khulna on Wednesday morning.

In Rajbari, at least six people were killed in a three-way three-wheeler, truck, and microbus collision in front of Chadpur Fire Service at Kalukhali.

The deceased were identified as auto driver Nasir (35), son of Bashir Mia, Mosiron Begum (60), wife of Motaleb Hossain, Mosiron Begum’s daughter Mariyam (45), Morzina (40), Mosiran’s daughter-in-law Rabeya (30) and Morzina’s son (10).All of the deceased were the passengers of the three-wheeler.
Rajbari Sadar Upazila Fire Station in-charge Siraj Mia said the accident took place at 9:00am in the area.

In Khulna, two people were killed and eight others injured in a head-on collision between a rickshaw van and a motorcycle in Gutudia area of Dumuria upazila.

The deceased were identified as motorcyclist Abu Osman, 32, of Tala upazila of Satkhira, and van rider Abdul Khaleq, 40, of Dumuria upazila.

Quoting eyewitnesses, Kharnia Highway Police officer-in-charge Mehedi Hasan, said the injured were taken to Upazila Health Complex and Khulna Medical College Hospital (KMCH).
