Rally, discussion meeting held in Sherpur

A discussion meeting and rally on health issues was held with female students on the occasion of Monthly Hygiene Day in Nakla upazila of Sherpur district yesterday.
Chandrakona Girls High School and Nakla BRAC Wash organized the program. With the slogan of “We are committed to making ‘menstruation’ a normal part of girls’ lives by 2030”.
The rally started from the premises of Chandrakona Girls High School under Chandrakona union of the upazila and ended at the same place.

Later, a discussion was held in the school auditorium. President of Chandrakona Girls High School Governing Council Wahid Murad presided over the meeting.

Upazila secondary education officer Mohammad Abdur Rashid, Chandrakona union parishad chairman Kamruzzaman Gendu, former chairman of chandrakona UP Saju Sayeed Siddiquee, upazila women’s affairs officer Romana Yasmeen, sub assistant engineer of DPH Romman Ara Jannat, headmaster of Chandrakona Girls High School Md Shafiqul Islam, member of Nakla Press Club Alhaj Mahabubur Rahman, teachers, Students and parents of Chandrakona Girls High School and dignitaries of the area were present.
