35 homeless families get PM’s gift house in Juri

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Tuesday inaugurated the third phase of providing land and houses to landless and homeless families under the Asrayan-2 project on the occasion of “Right to Sheter , Sheikh Hasina’s Gift”. Under this program, land and houses were handed over to about 32,904 families across the country.

Houses were handed over to 35 beneficiary families to be built in the third phase in Juri upazila of Moulvibazar. On Tuesday afternoon, preside by the Upazila Nirbahi Officer Sonia Sultana and the Upazila Academic Supervisor Md Alauddin addressed the function spoke as the chief guest Acting Upazila Chairman Ranjita Sharma. Senior Assistant Commissioner Munna Rani Biswas was present as the guest of honor.

Also present as special guests were Upazila Vice Chairman Rinku Ranjan Das, Assistant Commissioner (Land) Ratan Kumar Adhikari, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Police Station Sanjay Chakraborty, Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Dr. Samarjit Singh, Engineer Abdul Matin, Agriculture Officer Jasim Uddin. , Upazila Anti-Corruption Committee President Tajul Islam Tara Mia, Upazila Project Implementation Officer. Mansoor Ali, Sagarnal Fultala Shahnimatra College Principal. Zahir Uddin, Paschimjuri UP Chairman Anfar Ali, Purbajuri UP Chairman Obaidul Islam Ruel, Goalbari UP Chairman Md. Abdul Qayyum, Upazila Juba League President Mamunur Rashid Saju, General Secretary Shekharul Islam, Journalist Kalyan Prasoon Champu, Monirul Islam, Upazila Chhatra League President Sahab Uddin Sabel, General Secretary Iqbal Bhuiyan Ujjwal and others.

Meanwhile, UNO Sonia Sultana said the house has been provided to 35 landless and homeless families in the third phase in Juri Upazila. He said that taka 2 lakh 59 thousand 500 has been spent for the construction of each house.
